Amanda Gomes — Registered Social Worker (RSW)

Support that meets you where you are.

I'm Amanda Gomes, a Registered Social Worker providing virtual individual counselling to clients ages 12+ across Ontario. My work includes supporting people navigating trauma, grief, traumatic brain injury and significant life changes.

Meet Amanda

A space to talk through what you're carrying.

Amanda brings more than 13 years of experience to her work with teens, adults and seniors.

Her approach recognizes that people don't arrive in therapy with one isolated problem. Experiences, relationships, health, grief, identity and the circumstances surrounding someone's life can all influence how they're doing.

Therapy is shaped around the individual rather than asking the individual to fit a predetermined process.

Grief, Trauma & Life Changes

There's no single way people are supposed to respond.

Experiences such as loss, trauma or a major change in health or life circumstances can affect far more than mood.

Amanda works with clients to understand their experience within the wider context of their lives and find ways to move forward without minimizing what has happened.

Amanda's Approach

Individual care means individual care.

Sessions are tailored to the person in front of her.

Rather than applying one approach automatically, Amanda works collaboratively with clients to understand their concerns, identify goals and determine what support makes sense for where they are now.
